When Love Walked Away

Mother hunts for overheating child abandoned by father

Adrian leaves young Esther locked in a parked car on a blistering summer day to reunite with childhood sweetheart Stacy and her son Lucas. The engine fails, killing the air conditioning and driving the interior temperature toward lethal heatstroke levels. Esther battles fading consciousness long enough to phone Adrian, but he disconnects without hearing a word. She manages one final video call to her mother Claire before the tablet battery dies, yet the connection severs before she can reveal where the car sits. Claire launches a desperate search to locate her daughter before the heat becomes fatal.
