Two Mothers, One Roof: From Enemies to Family

Board the full series

Former enemies tend the broken matriarch and rebuild the household together.

Eleanor rules the farm with cruelty, abusing daughter-in-law Lucy and pushing son George toward violence. Margaret shatters the treasured Bennett crock and moves in to shield Lucy, sparking daily battles between the two older women. The fighting stops when George dies in a drunken tractor accident, an event that fractures Eleanor's mind completely. Instead of walking away, Margaret remains to care for the woman who once tormented her family, and the pair begin reconstructing their shared home.
