The Heiress Fights Back: They Called Her a Fake

Ava exposes the brothers' crimes and claims her birthright

Internationally acclaimed surgeon Ava Carter arrives home after a São Paulo lecture expecting her father Edward, but instead encounters Pierce, Derek, and Ethan Langston with orders to force a marriage choice. Derek and Ethan ambush her at the school gate, smashing her mother's pocket watch and stomping her right hand, then beat Professor Charles unconscious when he intervenes. Pierce arrives later, refuses to believe Ava is the Carter heiress, chokes her, and snaps her injured hand. Even after her assistant Arthur displays the family power ring, the brothers deny her identity and accuse Arthur of theft. With Charles's help, Ava uncovers their hospital profiteering scheme.
