The Donna Seat He Gave Away

Board the full series

Secret wife confronts her husband's public betrayal at a Mafia truce dinner.

Three months into a contract marriage arranged to clear her father's blood debt, a woman attends a Visconti-Vitali truce banquet as the hidden spouse of New York's youngest Mafia boss, Lucas Visconti. The sealed seating chart assigns Vitali negotiator Sophia the far end, but Lucas waves her to the Donna's place beside him. Consiglieri from both families object, citing the unamended chart and protocol. Lucas overrules them, invoking a debt owed to Sophia's late brother. Throughout dinner, he absorbs every toast meant for Sophia while ignoring his actual wife. When broken glass cuts her wrist, he does not turn. She removes the obsidian ring marking inner-circle membership and sets it on the table, signaling a fracture neither family anticipated.
