I Rescued the Princess from the Dragon

Liora waits at the palace gates, hoping Celestine accepts her dragon heritage.

Princess Celestine vanished into a dragon's clutches for ten long years while her daughter Liora, branded a half-blood cripple at only eight, taught herself rune craft in hidden isolation. The girl summoned rare moon-silver dragonfire to incinerate the magical blood pact binding her mother, securing the princess's freedom but remaining behind in the lair. Afterward Liora trekked alone to the capital and now lingers at the royal doorstep, uncertain whether the woman she rescued will embrace a child marked by the very creature that held them captive.
