Forever Was a Lie

A schemer dismantles a sister's place in the only family she has.

Nicole Quinn loses her parents to financial ruin and finds refuge with her mother's closest friend, growing up alongside Colin and Abel Smith for twenty years. The brothers treat her as their cherished sister, their protection absolute, until Mandy Moore, the nanny's daughter, slips into the household. Mandy crafts public humiliations designed to paint Nicole as unstable and ungrateful. Each trap succeeds, and the once-devoted brothers begin pulling away, their indifference eroding the only security Nicole has ever known.
