Divorced Commissioner Strikes Back

Commissioner drops disguise and wields authority against betrayers

By day Caroline scrubs floors in a police building; by night she commands investigations as commissioner and intelligence chief. She rescues destitute James and his daughter Jenna, giving them shelter and eventually a marriage license. The pair repay her generosity by labeling her a financial drain and moving James's manipulative ex Marilyn back under the same roof. That insult forces Caroline to shed the janitor persona and unleash the full weight of her badge.
