The Witch I Became

The healer rejects the patient she was summoned to save.

Ten years ago the protagonist lost her daughter in Healing Grove when her Alpha mate took the only wolfsbane antidote to treat his childhood sweetheart's daughter over a scraped knee. She severed their mate bond and trained in forbidden herbalism within the Herbalist Guild. Now she is the continent's only witch able to neutralize the poison. The Elder Council offers her a million gold coins to heal a poisoned girl. When she sees the patient's portrait she refuses the case and tears up the file.
