Board the full series

Abel defends Anna and confronts the Old Steward.

High-ranked vampire Abel Houston borrows seventy-three million blood crystals for a forbidden sun-immunity ritual that collapses. The Old Steward moves to harvest his core, so Abel triggers a Reincarnation Curse and wakes inside a deceased gambler's corpse in the Mortal Realm. Sunlight no longer burns his flesh. He finds Anna, the gambler's mute wife, bearing fresh bruises and living in silence. Abel swears to shield her, deploying vampire abilities to survive, earning local favor, and refining pills while the Old Steward pursues him across realms.
